This is the story of the McDonalds Menu Song, and how it changed - TopicsExpress

This is the story of the McDonalds Menu Song, and how it changed my life. Now, of course, it isnt that long of a story. At this present moment, though, Ive been able to successfully recite the song successfully from memory since probably the fifth or sixth grade, back in the late 80s, which is probably before some of the people on my friend list here were born. It was a catchy song, kind of, and since I learned it quickly, I was able to belt it out in the library of my grade school, causing a certain Kelly Dahl to stop in bewilderment, ask WTF, which was a big deal for a sixth grade girl, I guess, and follow up that question with another: if I had a radio in my mouth. I had no radio, just a talented tongue, although it would take quite a while for anyone to discover that. Needless to say, she never did, herself. You can find the song here: https://youtube/watch?v=yfH3yf-vf3A The song was a staple for the Adventures of Adam & Jason. It was sang while on the way to Thriftway one fateful seventh grade night. We were out looking for chicks, and there were none to be found that night at the store. None our age, anyway. The song kept us company on the short distance between the house and the store. on the way back, we didnt sing it, because we were caught in a downpour, and had to dart from tree to tree in the effort of staying dry. This didnt work either, though, and we spent the rest of the night blow drying our clothes since we didnt know how to use the dryer. Anyway, later on in life, I heard a song on the radio while riding with my father on the way home from uh... probably Pizza Caboose. it was obviously the basis of the McDonalds Menu Song. Id never heard it before, and I had no idea what it was called, or who sang it. My father assured me Id heard it before, though, and just didnt remember. Was he serious? Did he really think I would have heard something that was obviously the basis of something that had both delighted and haunted my friend and I for so many years prior, and not thought that it sounded the least bit familiar? I was sure Id never heard the song before. I am also sure that Id not heard the song since then again, until today. Yes. TODAY! Today was different! I remembered that song from long ago, and after going over the Menu Song again today twice, I decided that this song MUST be found! But the search wasnt easy. I had to take precaution not to misjudge what I was finding. I had to add shades of drama where there werent any in order to make this writing interesting! I Had to FIND that song! And so I did. For the very first time in the history of having the McDonalds Menu Song memorized, I have located the song, and am posting a link to it here! And Ill play it with this link! GO, REUNION! LIFE IS A ROCK, BUT THE RADIO ROLLED ME!!! https://youtube/watch?v=16kh-AP4OCU
