This is well stated. I think way too many voters think that the President is the solution to ever daily crisis in theri lives. That is why they dont vote but one every 4 years, and only mark one race on that ballot. They truly do not realize that the President does not have the power or authority to do 90% of what they want done -- it is their local and state governments, and their Representatives, Senators, et al. Of course there are external factors, but sustained improvement of governance comes from residents addressing the above. The president is right, people are doing this in Ferguson and we need to focus of our attention on supporting that work.
