This is what El Tipico Restaurant posted. I thought it warrented being shared with this group. I will definitely be supporting them :) Some have asked why we have made the switch to Organic. Heres why: Two years ago I (Dina), the daughter of Mr & Mrs. Villa was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I couldnt understand why because Breast Cancer is not hereditary in my family. I chose to research natural supplements and diet to help me battle the cancer cells. In my research I consulted with Claudia from Health foods by Claudia and read everything I could regarding Cancer. Sadly my research led to the discovery that our food system in the U.S is being poison by chemicals. I thought our restaurant was safe from these chemicals because we have always served only fresh ingredients, never imitation, preservatives or pre packaged foods. Unfortunately I was wrong. The fresh food in our super markets are full of chemicals and GMOs. My Mother was always proud to serve food that was clean of any chemicals or preservatives. Foods that were made as God intended. I chose to switch to Organic and chemical free ingredients in order to bring back the integrity our menu once had before it was unknown to us, altered. If our Mother were still alive this is what she would have wanted. We only serve food that we would serve to our own children. The integrity of our food and our concern for our patrons must come first. Please take the time to watch this video as an introduction to the concerns of our food system in our country.
