This is what I just received back, from cps director, Dear Ms. White: I did give you a telephone call with a message on Friday, January 17, 2014. I am sorry that you missed it. We did receive your FOIA request on 1/16/14. Because it is so expansive and involves not only Foster Care but also, Child Protective Services, we will need considerable time to produce the documents that are allowed under FOIA. I will have a better idea of the time frame after discussing your request with our City Attorney, Tamele Hobson, and Al Steward. We appreciate your understanding of the time involved and will get back with you to clarify that time frame by Friday, January 24, 2014. Our attorney, Tamele Hobson, is willing to discuss this situation with your attorney should you decide to do so. Ms. Hobson further advised that since the documents will be so expansive and the time to redact considerable, NDHS will need a $200 payment to begin to cover the time and photocopying cost.
