This is what I send to Ismail when he missed the chance to talk to Reese Witherspoon when they met in NY airport: I saw Hillary Clinton in Munich, 2005, I went to her saying that my wife would not be happy if she knows that I did not greet her while we are in the same room. She laughed and we started a short conversation. Angela Merkel was there and sat beside me for dinner. She was not yet the chancellor. We exchanged cards. In Cyprus 2012 - when ambassador Hany Salah invited me for dinner at Hilton - I met Christine Lagarde (IMF). She was dinning at the next table. I went to her saying : I am Ambassador …. from Egypt , and I want to thank her for what she and IMF were doing for my country. She was so pleased, and answered : we shall do whatever it takes to help Egypt. We continued a conversation for few minutes.
