This is what Im harking about; the Emerald Forest (1985) a true story. Enter a young Rutger Hauer../the film is set 10 years b4 in the mid-70s. Anyway. Sub-text/ plot; his dad is a commercial logger and as a child he gots lost in the depths of the Amazon, and is raised by the cueyopo, native Amazonians..anyway not much has changed now/ since then or is likely to in the future. The Amazon is almost 40% deforested. Chico Mendes tried to show the world over 20 years ago what was happening in the basin, but was repaid with a bullit to the back of the head by commercial loggers. A great film though one of my favs. Enjoy the trailer...
