This is what happens when you have 10 minutes to spare before leaving the house and then realise you need more time to finish what you started….. Madrick Part 1. Madrick sat at the bar staring into his empty glass. He was reasonably certain that last time he had looked at it it had been full, or was that four or five glasses ago. He leant forward and put his head in his hands groaning then looked through his fingers at the mirror behind the bar and groaned again. How had it come to this, he was always so lucky, maybe his luck had just run out, it had to happen eventually right. It had started as a promising job that morning, he had woken up at 5.30, the early labour force train running under his unit block was his alarm. He had proceeded to make coffee and do his work out ten push-ups ten pull-ups ten squats and twenty sit-ups, five times, twice a day. Then he went for his run, fitness was important to his line of work and when people thought of someone in his line of work they often forgot how boring it was between jobs keeping fit. Once he retuned home it was time to get ready, he scowled in the mirror judging his face, wether to shave or not to shave, and he was lazy. After convincing himself he looked ruggedly handsome he got dressed, dark blue jeans, grey shirt, black leather jacket, black boots, and a pistol and knife. He didnt like guns for the most part, but some targets where just too far away for a knife, hopefully his job today wouldnt involve any need for it though.
