This is what repentance is all about. We can choose to stay where we are at, or we can choose to get up, dust ourselves off, use the atonement to heal and change our natures, and try again. I testify that it is in the trying and the doing that we find some of the greatest joys in the gospel of Jesus Christ. If anyone is feeling down or out, or like they just cant seem to cut it, know that there is a loving savior there to help you, to lift you up, and to set you back on the right path. The question is, will you reach out to His hand, take it, and then let Him lead you? I invite all who are seeking that aid to act in faith, seek to repent, and follow the example of Jesus Christ. Recommit to live those commandments that you have not been keeping and recommit to follow and keep the covenants which you have made with God. I testify that blessings come from being obedient and by as President Uchtdorf said, getting back up and dusting ourselves off and trying again. We can never truly reach perfection in this life. But the savior himself asked us to do our very best to keep His commandments. This is how we show our love to Him. One of those commandments is to repent when the need arises. And in so doing, we are not only showing our humility to Him, but we are telling Him that WE LOVE HIM. I testify joy comes from repentance as well as a peaceful assurance that you are forgiven. It may not come immediately. In fact, it seldom does because repentance is a process. But it will come. I know, for I call on that redeeming power daily in my own life. And the peace does come. God loves us. Let us seek to also Love Him and follow the example His son set for us.
