This is whoopee news. Mah Weng Kwai declared the entire sec 9 of PAA unconstitutional, so 10- day non-compliance and punishment set aside. The other 2 judges on the panel looked at 9(1) and 9(5) of PAA as almost nonsensical when juxtaposed with Art 10 of Constitution regarding freedom of speech and expression. This will set the tone for the coming May day rally. This is a big one for the OCPD of KL who talked big for the last couple of days and tried to frighten people on illegality of the assembly short of the 10-day notice. Good news for all human rights activists and for those who intend to take part in any assembly. Hidup Rakyat!!
