This is wonderful video about how the Moroccan court was built at the Met in NYC -- and about the geometry and artisanship behind it. I went to Morocco with my friend Chris Trottier, because she had seen this at the Met and we realized we shared a passion for this art. The Met brought artisans from Fez to NY, and they built all the mosaics and carvings in place from the ground up. If you have 17 minutes, its a fun watch. Around 11:45 you can see how they build zellige mosaics upside down, and from 9:40 to 10:18 theyre carving absolutely gorgeous interlocking geometrics in stucco. But seriously, watch all of it!
