This is your gentle reminder for November 7, 2013 · This Wednesday is the last night for dinners until after the holidays. Pizza will be provided. Please bring money for a donation to cover the cost. We’ll gather at 5:15 pm and eat about 5:30. · Parents of Youth – you are invited to join your child Sunday afternoon at 4:00 for a tailgating event. There will be lots of food and fun! · Please think about and pray about how you can participate in the Bethlehem Walk. This is an annual community event put on by Our Father’s House. This year the dates are Dec. 12,13,14. · A new Stephen Ministry Class will begin in January. If you are interested, talk to Dr. Joe or any Stephen Leader. · Next Sunday Nov. 17: o Mary’s kids will perform in church and o Scouts are hosting a pancake breakfast between services in Fellowship Hall. · November 18 – December 31 is the Space Coast Lightfest in Wickham Park. Scout units from around the district have put up an array of lights, scenes and LED amazement for your viewing pleasure. This cost is $10/car Mon-Thur. and $15/car weekends. On Saturday Nov 23 and Sunday, Dec. 8 our troop 309 will be running the gate and concessions. Some of the profits will go directly to support them. · Sunday Nov. 24 – Hanging of the Green · Thank you SBUMC! 104 Operation Christmas Child boxes were collected for less fortunate children around the world. · Pastor Jose Luis Rodriguez has been granted asylum and has to go to Washington, DC to process paperwork for his family to join him. He will be there next Thursday and return Saturday. While in DC, he needs transportation and lodging. If you have any contacts in that area that might help him, contact Marj Green, or email Pastor Josias Andujar at pastorjosias@ymail. · All church meetings, except Staff Parish are open to every member that would like to attend. We will list the meetings in the “Opportunities This Week” section of the bulletin. Approved minutes of the meetings will be attached to the weekly eminder. For those folks without a computer, minutes can be obtained in the church office upon request. Attached are the minutes of the Administrative Team Meeting October 28, 2013. · The church office will be closed Monday, Nov. 11 in observance of Veteran’s Day. · We have a Handyman Ministry at SBUMC…….Change light bulbs, light plumbing, carpentry, yard clean up…..we may be able to help. If you are a handyman and would like to volunteer or if you need work done, call the church office, 777-0116. We will take the information and send it on to our coordinator. Dining out in the month of November is at Nippon Thai located at 1114 A1A. They are open every day except Monday. Be sure to write SBUMC on the bill and they will give us 10% of the bill for our Family Life Center.
