This man is the catalyst behind Death Cafe GSO... -Rev. Stimp Hawkins- An active volunteer with Hospice. Coordinates the service learning curriculum at Salem College (will teach "Making Peace with Death" this fall). Spent 17 years as Associate Minister at First Presbyterian Church in Winston Salem, NC. Served 10 years as Chaplain for Hospice and Palliative CareCenter. Staunch advocate for helping people get the end-of-life care they wish for and deserve. Also works with groups to educate and assist with Advance Care Planning. Stimp is well known in the area and has a long record of "good works". He met Lizzy Miles from Death Cafe Columbus last year and has been planning a Cafe ever since.
