This may come across a little random, but I need to clear my mind - TopicsExpress

This may come across a little random, but I need to clear my mind and air my thoughts, and facebook presents the perfect place to do that. The past two to three days have been a massive eye opener for me, and Id like to state why this is. Over the past two years I have been spreading awareness and writing articles in the hope of supplying information to those who most need it. Not only have I been following the progress surrounding cannabinoid research, Ive also spent a large amount of time learning about biology, chemistry, anatomy and by extension, immunology and renal medicine. This has not only been in order to make sure that I have been sharing accurate information, but has also allowed me to learn a lot about my own, very rare medical condition. During this time, there have been quite a few topics that I have remained on the fence about. I have shared information in the past, only to find out that it was not true, or that there were mistakes that I overlooked. For this I must apologise. There have also been times that I have completely changed my opinion regarding a subject, due to the fact that I have came across new evidence. Often, sharing this new information has given me an idea of those who are willing to look at new information, and those who will chose to defend their own opinion based upon preconceived notions. The fact of the matter is that most people who want to find out more information about a subject, all go to the same small group of people for their information. Unfortunately, I fell into this category, trusted what others said, based my information on people who did not know what they were talking about, and thus there have been multiple mistakes I have made in the past. The reason my opinion sometimes changes is because I have been relying purely on my own research for the past year or so, and have found that the evidence completely contradicts what many of these online figures of authority claim. Examples of things that I have found to be misinformation are: * The alkaline diet having the ability to adjust your bodily pH (saliva does not count as internal pH, nor does urine, as the body already regulates its own core pH). * The theory that states we never travelled to the moon (we left equipment up there that we still use today). * The ability to create 98% THC Oil using naptha (98% THC in the lab is a pure crystalized powder). However, at the same time, performing my own research has reassured me of the fact that: * Cannabis Oil works for countless conditions, and is very effective when treating cancer (there are countless studies and ongoing trials backing this claim). * Vaccines, although they do NOT contain pure mercury, may be showing less effectiveness as time passes, and may cause unforseen problems (statistics suggest that the flu vaccine works in less than 10% of patients over the age of 65). * Eating healthy CAN help with preventing disease and healing the body (due to the consumption of essential fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and so on). Within any community, misinformation gets mixed in with important information, as people take things at face value. I believe that those who have a following of thousands of people, need to be very careful and make sure that the information they share is 100% correct. If not, said misinformation spreads across social media and becomes generally accepted. There are tonnes of blogs out there with doctors claiming to have the cure for this or information about that, my questions to these doctors are: * Do they have any evidence to back their claims in the form of double blind studies? * Is their opinion recognised by any of the leading experts in the field that they work? * Are they earning money from this service they provide? At the moment, I have seen no evidence to support the above claims that I have stated I do not believe. If anyone has anything they feel may change my mind, Im always open to new information, and will gladly look at anything that anybody wishes to share. Im sorry for any misinformation that I have personally shared in the past, and accept full responsibility for any change in opinion that I may have caused.
