This melts me. If we never told our kids that cows, pigs, chickens, ducks, animals were food, they would inately, instinctively hug each and every one of them too. Just like racism, speciesism is a learned behavior. Eating animals is a learned behavior. It is not instinctual. If you put a baby in a room with a rabbit and a carrot, it would naturally love or try to play with the bunny and try to eat the carrot. We can not hunt, kill, and devour our prey with our bear hands and teeth. THAT is how God intended.
