An ongoing study of people who have maintained weight loss of at least 30 pounds for more than a year has found that people who eat breakfast tend to eat fewer calories throughout the day and have better overall nutritional status than people who skip breakfast. Breakfast doesn’t have to be elaborate or complicated to jump start your metabolism and get you going for the day. In fact, a typical breakfast for the study participants consisted of cereal and fruit.
