This might sound crazy to some but Ill be honest and tell you Ive never been as religious or as close to God and my savior as I am today. Before Walker I didnt pray every single day. I didnt pray just to give thanks like I do now. When Walker was 24 hours old and the doctor told me something just wasnt right and Walker needed to be transferred to a bigger hospital with a good NICU, I started praying, I knew in my heart something bad was wrong with Walker and from then on I have prayed every single day sometimes multiple times a day. And prayer works! When we were looking into going to Boston for Dr. Marx & Dr. Del Nidos opinion we decided we wouldnt go. But I prayed The Lord would let me know if we were making the right decision. Then one night we got a phone call from an amazing person telling us they were making a trip to Boston possible and we felt that was a sign and answer to our prayer that we just needed to go. We needed to hear them out. After their thoughts and opinion we came home and said were not going to go through with their bi ventricle repair and once again I prayed for God to show me we were making the right decision but time and time again doors have been opened and showed us Boston is where Walker should be. I ve prayed and asked God many times how would we be able to afford 3 trips to Boston in a year plus medical bills and time and time again we are shown that we will be somehow we will be able to. God has led many people to help us through this wether through donations or kind words and prayer and we are so grateful!! I feel like once again here is a sign that Boston is where Walker is suppose to be, world day of prayer is the day of Walkers surgery and if you click on the link the first thing you see is let your light shine. Walkers favorite song is This Little Light of Mine! And we sing it over and over every day! Maybe its all coincidence, and some may think that but I think its just another answer to my prayers and that Boston is where Walker is suppose to go for a bi ventricle repair. And no matter how hard it is to imagine another surgeon touching Walkers heart Im trusting in God cause time and time again he has answered my prayers. worlddayofprayer.org/candle
