This morning I was at the Delhi Police Bhawan near Turkman gate trying to sort Wasims city visas. Special Branch plainclothes policemen in safari suits and ammunition boots with heavily hennaed hair. And oozing aggression and attitude. The only way Ive had any success with them is to be even more arrogant and aggressive. So I was right in the middle of Rajiv Shukla and Jaitley saab will not be happy with this delay .. when this seventy something gentleman walked in. He wore coke bottle spectacles and was obviously not well off. Everybody stopped while he asked how he could get a Pakistan visa in a thin wheezy voice. And then this big burly cop got up, came around from behind his counter, put his arm around the gentlemen and told him in his ear that he needed to go to the Pakistan embassy instead. Another officer got him some water, and a third wrote down the address in both English and Hindi. As they escorted him out, one of them asked if he had the money to reach there, and he nodded. I didnt have much aggression left after that...
