This morning all Upper Delaware rivers are at good fishing levels. All of our river are somewhere between mid to low water conditions and every river is crystal clear. At this time there is good fishing on all of our local rivers. The current water temperatures are perfect for the Trout to be active and aggressive. We are now in the period of the season where the big mayflies are on the water! Yesterday our guides were spread out on several different sections of the river system. We had guests on the Beaverkill, Lower East, West Branch and Main Stem. All had excellent fishing and our guests brought some nice trout to net. Over the last few weeks every day has been a combination of Nymph and dry fly fishing. I was on the Main Stem yesterday and the fishing was excellent. We fished March Brown nymphs in every riffle during the sunny afternoon hours and had non stop action. We had more than a dozen nice sized rainbows take our nymph rigs. We also had fast dry fly action late in the day during a blanket hatch of Dorothea Sulfurs. Invaria Sulfurs, Green Drakes and Isonychia are also on the Main Stem in small numbers. These insects should become more prominent in the coming days. The Beaverkill and Lower East are heavy with insects. These rivers have heavy activity with March Browns and March Brown Spinners at this time. Our guides who fished the Beaverkill yesterday really ran the numbers up. They found very steady action casting March Brown Duns and Cripples in the faster water. The spinner activity towards dark has been very heavy.
