This morning i attended d 9am mass@ cathedral. I learned that d diocese of surigao celebrates its 75 yrs as a diocese , images keep flashing my mind as a kid i am always fascinated by the ladies occupying d front pews d lola of florian tan, ms siega with her cat like glasses, mano tony mom and her smile, mrs simtoco , with her towering height , mana totang balberia very generous when it comes to pledges, mrs . Nadala, the mama of vilma known for her high pitch, the pedralba including mano tony, the mother of leo, mrs cortes, maam concepcion my mamas best friend and noted for her delicious puto and dinuguan ,maam calejesan of soelsa and mam uriarte the lola of marivic Maria Victoria Andanar Arana they are all fresh in my mind wearing the green and brown uniform. They attended mass every morning... Now the pews they once occupied are now seated by unfamiliar and younger women. These women that i have mentioned may not have known me personally but their images are still vivid and carved in my mind and heart. I observed them coz attending mass is holy no eating nor drinking inside the church, attire is a sundays dress and socks match d dress. Mama is a sacred heart devotee her uniform is white blouse and lavender skirt. I just missed mama and the rest of the familiar devotees. Am sure you have the first rows in heaven.
