This morning i did an interview with Radio Leicester. One of the questions was whether it was fair for NUT to be using a ballot for strike action dating from 2012 where only 30% of members voted. I pointed out that the issues we faced were unchanged since then. More particularly i asked why David Cameron believed that the support of 21% of the electorate in a vote 4 years ago gave him a mandate to attack teachers pay, pensions and working conditions and demolish the NHS and public services. There is NO mandate for a Tory government.
