This morning when I woke up I had been dreaming about my mama. My mama went to be with the Lord, March 7th of this year. All day today things have come up to remind me of her. At the post office this morning as I was coming out a lady Id never met opened her door and leaned out to say, I just wanted to tell you how beautiful your hair is! I thanked her and told her I had inherited from my mother. My mother did have beautiful white hair as long as I can remember. Then someone was telling me about their mother passing away recently and how peaceful she was the last few days she was living. My mama was too and I know it was because she had gotten a glimpse of heaven because she had talked about it for 3 months prior to her death. Then someone mentioned breast cancer and I thought about my mamas testimony of having breast cancer at the age of 39 but lived cancer free after surgery to the age of 93! I got home, got my mail and in the letters was a deed to Mama and Daddys house which had been transferred into my name because of 2 of the sweetest, loving brothers a sister could have. What a family legacy. To top it all off the sky had turned an amber color and I looked up to see a most beautiful rainbow. Somehow I just know mama has been smiling with me today! Thank you Lord for sweet memories that live on.
