This needs to be shared with everyone: Anyone who is sanctioned - TopicsExpress

This needs to be shared with everyone: Anyone who is sanctioned by the Job Centre should complain to the parliamentary ombudsman (the PHSO). And they should not hesitate. They are independent of the government but have some powers. Complainants should also demand compensation for being deprived of benefits they are legally entitled to and the distress resulting from the sanction. If 30% are sanctioned that suggests in excess of three quarters of a million people. If only a tenth of them complain to the PHSO, that will be 75,000 complaints about the DWP in short order. The system would be clogged in an afternoon. It is very easy to complain to the ombudsman and whatever else you do, soldier on with it. Every complaint has to be looked into seriously by the ombudsman. The complaint can be made online here: ombudsman.org.uk/ Or by post: The Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman, Millbank Tower Millbank London SW1P 4QP Or by phone:- 0345 015 4033 Everyone, without exception, should complain about their benefits being sanctioned. It is VERY easy.
