This notion " umntu is entitled to their opinion" is misleading, inaccurate and therefore incorrect. If we are all entitled to our own opinion that means we can comment on a subject we do not understand, a subject not within our field of study and a subject on which our opinion is irrelevant because we do not study nor specialize in that subject. this means we can not be entitled to our own opinion UNLESS we are relevant in that subject. OTHERWISE u will generate all sorts of problems like we have in our society today - because people voice out their opinions in subjects they are totally irrelevant to. Examples: 1. a politician talking abt energy sources or waste disposal. 2. people with no medical training preparing for you a mixture/solution when u have a stomach ache. 3. a friend who has no idea of what is human social behavior and how it works giving you advice on relationships. Elaborations: 1. why do u think a GP sends u to a specialist when u have a problem that is beyond general medicine ? 2. why do u think politicians employ qualified people to do their jobs ? 3. why dou think that for something to be valid it has to be scientifically proven ?
