This past Friday I had the wonderful opportunity to hear the PLU Choral Union conducted by Richard Nance. This was their “warm up” performance before boarding the plane for Italy. They will be all over Italy; Milan, Florence, The Vatican and more. Choral Union is a world class group and they showed that off Friday evening in more than stellar fashion. Their performances were unforgettable. This all happened at Christ Episcopal Church on “K” Street in North Tacoma. The church is fantastic in its own right being a relatively new, modern design by Paul Thiry. The acoustics are incredible for music. The church also houses one of John Brombaughs most incredible pipe organs not Modern tuning. Mark Brombaugh, Johns younger brother is Music Director and organist. Wonderful choral music filled my mind all night.
