This past summer I had the privilege to visit with Martin Corey in Maghaberry. Although our meeting was brief, he left me with a message that Ill not soon forget. While discussing HARKs mission and especially the support of the political prisoners, Martin lit up and said Stick it to em! You just keep sticking it to em until the whole world knows! That, in a nut shell is what HARK is all about... Raising our voices so the whole world knows that the political prisoners interned in Ireland and the situation in the North as a whole is broadcast the largest audience possible. And wed like to ask you to share Martins wish. Take a stand. Speak out. Shout to your voice cracks. Stick it to em. You just keep sticking it to em. Lets not forget now that Martins released how it was that he was interned by remand in the first place. The justice system in the north of Ireland is broken and the letter of the law cant be given and taken as the government sees fit. It was a travesty that Martin was in Maghaberry at all and unfathomable when you consider how long he was interned. Welcome home Martin.
