This past week has been one of the busiest of my life. I need to - TopicsExpress

This past week has been one of the busiest of my life. I need to take a step back and look at what Ive done and where Im headed. I went on a tour with my band Old State. It was small, only to Kansas City and Springfield MO with a kickoff show here in St. Louis, but its the start of something much bigger. Weve received a huge amount of support and I want to thank everyone who has either come to see us play or has listened to our EP. A huge thanks to the bands that weve gotten to play with, namely Airport Novels and Mariner. Old State has a show at Fubar this Monday with Head North and a couple more coming up that Ill list below. Thats not all thats been going on though. Ive recently had the pleasure of jamming with Mr. Aaron Selby and Mr. Adem Sibic, with the intent of forming a completely new sound. We went into practice with some ideas and came out with totally different ones that were SUPER stoked about. I cant wait until we hash out the rest of this material and get it recorded. Thanks to a Mr. Adam Key, Ive got myself a steady full time job that has and will hopefully continue to allow me the financial freedom to do things that I wouldnt be able to otherwise, like go on tours and record in real studios with experienced producers who know the ins and outs of what makes music sound good. Oh, and I turned 21 recently, though it doesnt really feel like it. Ive been far too busy to really go out and celebrate, save for having sushi with some awesome people. But, Im glad Im busy. Im really grateful for all the opportunities Ive been given and all the people Ive had the pleasure of working and jamming with. I strongly encourage you to check out what Ive been doing with Old State and stay posted for my future endeavors. Im super excited about all of this and Ive got my eyes set towards the future and all it holds. Also, I get to see Welcome Home tomorrow! Thats gonna be rad.
