This past week was the Bent Wheels Hare Scramble. I headed up with the soenksen family and arrived Saturday evening. We set up some equipment for the race and then began relaxing a little. Me and Talon messed around on the trials bike getting warmed up for the next day. After a walk to get and ice cream with Talon and Gunnar we decided it would be good to nest down and get rest for race day. The next day I started prepping the bike and gear to make sure everything was in place. After the quads and minis went I put the rest of my gear on and rode up to the starting line. The flag dropped and I got a great second place start when Joey McNeil flew around me in the second corner. After a good pass talon got by me and it was a four person pack for a good 3 laps. I ended up getting into third and gassing the lap after. I would hold on to third and finished third in both my class and overall. Felt much better and am looking forward to improving more each race I compete in! I want to thank God, My parents, the Soenksen family and Safety First for all their support and I will hopefully see most if you at the loose moose enduro! -Alex Good
