This past weekend Keeper of the Wild celebrated the marriage of one of our own. Beth Amick (who is of Native American descent) and Bert Sparks were married at the Keeper of the Wild Center with all of Beth’s and Bert’s family, rehabber friends and even lots of rescued animals in attendance at a traditional Native American Indian Wedding ceremony conducted by Rev. Cathy Nelson of the Keepers of the Word Native American Christian Ministry. It was a beautiful ceremony in nature, with nature lovers, to celebrate two we all love. So Perfect!! The reception was also beautiful, featuring many more touches of nature and the most delicious feast of tribal foods prepared by Keeper of the Word. And would you believe that with so many wildlife rehabilitators in attendance, when the time came to tube feed some baby opossums, a crowd gathered around and Early Mitchum actually ended up conducting an impromptu opossum tubing training session for those just still a little nervous about the delicate process. All in all it was a perfect and beautiful, evening! Best Wishes, Beth and Bert, from everyone at Keeper of the Wild! You know we all love you both!
