This poem is dedicated to 3 very special friends of mine, as well as to all of you and your family and friends who might need this today, tomorrow or sometime in the future. Thank you Doug Rudnik for the very beautiful photo. “i am not dead” i am not dead ………………. yet my bones ache my breath is slight but fight is still with in me i am not dead ………………. yet i focus on the future …………………….. not years merely moments that may grow into minutes hours & days that i may spend making new memories for you to hold on too my recollections are clear they are what keeps fears on the other side of the closed door i am not dead ………………. yet so there shall be no tears no sympathy only laughter & gaiety should grace my space i still wake to the morning crisp air i still sit by an afternoon calm sea i still dream in the evening moon light and i still relish hugs from those beloved i am not dead ………………. yet and i don’t plan on parting yet if that day arrives hold me in your thoughts as i hold you in mine for our souls shall live in the stars beyond counted time ~ gwynneth green~ buddinggreen/i-am-not-dead/ photo by Doug Rudnik Photography
