This police department and white police officers are just like all others in this country they vehemently believe and operate under the assumption that all black people are suspect, as well as guilty until proven innocent! Grab a black man, any black man will do! Hence, we have every department in this country practicing racial profiling, calling it something else while trying to convince black and brown folks this isnt racial profiling were protecting you from crime in your area, they have white folks convinced this is necessary and will protect you from black folks, regardless if they are law abiding or not, theyre black folks - after all they might commit a crime. We dont buy this departments BS lie or the racial profiling rationale any where in this country! In my city Milwaukee, WI we have racial profiling on steroids! We have 2 racial profiling initiatives (no, 1 was not enough for our racist police chief and mayor) 1) traffic stop initiative and 2) stop and engage. Both initiatives target black and brown boys/men in targeted areas (of course where black and brown people live) in select geographical neighborhoods based o crime statistics. So, between 7:00 p.m. - 3:00 a.m. the African-American and Latino-American communities are under police siege - they literally converge on our neighborhoods! Black and brown 16 - 30 something (older as well) male drivers (females too) are stopped for alleged traffic violations (most of which are bogus, because no tickets for traffic violations are given), they ask for ID for the driver and all passengers, black and brown men are told to get out of the car and sit on the curb (so they cant run away just in case youre wanted for something or another); 99.9% of these stops result in the drivers going on about their business, but the humiliation, inconvenience, mistreatment and violation of their civil rights is absolutely illegal, deplorable and not justified! The stop and engage initiative is just as bad, young African-American and Latino-American boys/men between the age of 18 - 30 carrying a back pack are stopped while walking, the police ask to search their bag (just in case their is a gun or guns in the back pack). Of course the police stop younger black and brown boys as young as 12 - 17, after all if you are a tall 12 year old you look like youre 18 (satire). The boys and young men are terrified, of course they comply to the illegal stop and search out of fear for their lives. I am sick and tired of being sick and tired of all of this! We must demand this BS stop, police departments can not keep racially profiling black and brown people and everyone from the mayor, DA and white citizens (and some stupid black and brown citizens too) being ok with this! It is wrong, wrong, wrong and illegal as hell. This young man in St. Ann, Missouri is a victim of racial profiling and excessive force - look at his face, he is lucky to be alive! Apologizing for the continued beating and killing of black boys and men is unacceptable BLACK LIVES MATTER!
