This post from Chall Gray of The Magnetic Theatre… please help bring this great performance venue back to the ARAD!! Donate what you can! Many of you have been to one or two or even dozens of shows that Ive produced over the last 8 years. Its likely that that show was a production by The Magnetic Theatre which Steven Samuels and I co-founded 5 and a 1/2 years ago. Well, the theatre needs your help. We have found a great new home in the RAD, and its a far better space than the old theatre. The landlords, in their generosity, are helping with the buildout, and by giving us a very favorable lease. Still, doing construction aint cheap. So far weve raised about $20,000 for the new space, Magnetic 375, mostly in large donations. So were about halfway to our goal of $40,000. What will really help us get there are small gifts. Five bucks. Ten bucks. Twenty five. It all adds up. And it all helps. And if you arent able to give right now, we could use some 2x4s, and sheetrock, if you have some laying around. We appreciate it, more than you know, and weve got years of amazing shows already in the planning. By writers and performers that Im proud and honored to have produced over the years...
