This post is from Peter and he asks for support. Today I am writing to you all. The last days I talked to Lancelot Armstrong’s mother Darlene several times and we´ve written emails. Her deep sadness has shaken me very much. Darlene tries to cover her sadness, hopelessness and her pain and asks me how I am doing ... but I feel her enormous pain and fear in her voice between the lines of her words. Her fear to lose her son and not beeing able to see him. It is hard to imagine what his mother has to endure for 23 years now. Since then Lancelot is on Florida’s Death Row – awaiting execution. She is thinkinh about her son Lancelot day and night and wasn’t able to see him for four years now. Unfortunately she is very ill, in addition to worse osteoarthritis she is suffering from cance. Furthermore there is her helplessness and the feeling that her son probably gonna die and she cannot help him.. The German initiative Help for Lancelot in Kassel has decided to try anything that maybe Darlene can visit her son one last time. I sent her a list of questions so that we can understand their situation and she has answered all my questions. ...Dear Darlene ...Darlene, please do not forget to write us an e-mail. Because we want to help you, that you can visit your son. We need the follow information from you: * Why do you must flight to Raiford, and not can drive ? * Whats the situation of your health ? * Why do you need an Assistant for the visit. * When did you see Lancelot the last time ? * Whats the cost of the flight ? * Whats the cost for driving car in Florida and so on ? * Whats the cost for hotel etc. for you and your Assistant ? * How much money you need in total for the trip ? We need this Informations, that we can search for donations. Sincerely Peter Dear Peter. Thanks for your consideration towards my son Lancelot. I had to search for the best package deals which is usually less expensive. I have not been able to visit my dear son for 4 years due to ill health, and insufficient money. Sometimes I think he feels abondoned as all the other family members lives farther away than I, and I am unable to visit often as I would love to do. I had major surgeries, trouble ambulating due to Osteo-arthritis from the neck to the knees, I have to travel with a wheelchair and, an assistant. The trip takes many hours, last time it took almost 6+ hours. I am unable to sit in one position for long periods, that is why I have to fly. The trip includes a package of Flights, Hotel, and Car rental, (the prison is quite a distance from the hotel and, the hotel quite a distance from the airport). My assistant and I will share the same room. Currently, the package total is US$1,670.00 Please extend my appreciation to all who help. Thanks again for helping me to visit. God bless you all.
