This post published on the very first day of 2014, and I wrote it exactly one year ago. Im 40 now, and Im not going to say it is fabulous. Im also not going to say its horrible. Its neither and it is both. I dont suddenly feel omniscient, but I am beginning to see the world from a different angle – from a perch farther west than I sat before, maybe. This year has taught me that aging is a gift and a privilege, and I try to remember that every day. That doesnt mean I still dont find the details of it interesting or amusing or, sometimes, even discouraging.
