This prayer was broadcast throughout our country as American soilders along with our allies were hitting the beaches on D Day. This is the first time I have listened to this entire prayer, and FDR says some had asked him for a national day of prayer, but he ask all Americans to continually pray instead. I can just see all the people setting around the radio, and listening to the President, and I can also see those same people praying that day, and many days after that speech for the all of this countrys young men. Everyone on Facebook has a relative, or knows someone who fought in WWII, and this November the 11th is veterans day, not very many of those WWII soilders left anymore,I thank you for your service. If you know a soilder from WWII up to the present,say thanks, and GOD bless. It is said the American worker is the backbone of this country, I say no,no it isnt, not by a long shot, I say the backbone of this country is the American soilder.
