This pretty much shakes up the whole story behind how Hip Hop evolved and its contributors. This is a must see! My only issue with all of this is that it seems more Disco driven and the narration says its Hip Hop. The park jams can easily be considered something that was a movement, before anything Hip Hop became an agenda. Everyone has contributed to the genesis of all of this and thats a great thing. But Afrika Bambaataa rounded up all of what was going on and saw it for what it was and named it Hip Hop as well as gave us a definite direction. He also applied the Zulu Nation principals of the time. Peace, Unity, Love and Having Fun. He also was proactive about all elements coming together for the sake of social empowerment and gaining knowledge of self. But I am very happy to see confirmation of my perspective on perspective. Just because someone wasnt at a certain place at a certain time, doesnt mean that something wasnt happening. Love to Brooklyn and Queens. Rich Medina peep this if you havent.
