Our taxes are paid to be spent on the infrastructure and services that benefit the population. Our taxes are not paid to prop up the mining corporations and other rich industries. Even the poorest of poor in this country pay tax because of the GST. Taxes cant be avoided and then we have little say on how the money is spent. Once a government is voted in doesnt have to stick to any promises made in election mode. Maybe there should be a 3 strikes and you are out process. Break 3 promises and an election is called to give someone else a chance.
