This really isnt the time for debates or slurs,an innocent child - TopicsExpress

This really isnt the time for debates or slurs,an innocent child is dead. However I am interested to know why Andrew Martin thinks the police have been incompetent? Personally I think the only people that are demonstrating sheer stupidity are those who think the police havent been exploring all possibilities from the word go! Of course they have had their suspicions, they have had the area cordoned off and forensics in from the start! They arent going to automatically put all this and all the info out in the public domain. It would undoubtedly cause a witch hunt to ensue which would compromise the search and the investigation which could delay or stop them finding the little boy. Which is the most important thing believe it or not, over and above the need to keep the public informed! They have to gather the evidence, they cant just come out and say the boy is dead with nothing concrete to suggest this! Its been heavily documented by the media and is an investigation which will be heavily scrutinised! Yes its highly unlikely that the wee boy ever wandered off himself, but some children have. Did they believe this? Probably not but have to keep an open mind initially! What would happen if he wasnt and people just stopped looking for him? Blame the person(s) who have caused this to happen to the boy not the police who have clearly worked tirelessly to find him for goodness sake! I dont know how anyone can hold the view that our police do not take the disappearance of a toddler seriously, its probably why they want to do the job they do, to help find them. Believe it or not, Whatever your experiences with them, they are human beings and many have children too! And Im sure they will continue to work tirelessly to convict whoever is responsible, whether or not this hard work is reflected in our courts, that is a debate for another time and place! Rest in peace little man, god bless x
