This report was filmed at the McConnell Unit. That is where I did my pre service training seventeen years ago. I spent the next seventeen years at another maximum security unit very similar to McConnell. The cells and day rooms are just the same. The report is in some ways fairly accurate and in some ways not. But what the report cant and didnt report on is the smell and the sheer brutality of inmate on inmate and inmate on officer assaults that takes place behind the walls.
