This song was written about me, you know…True story…Though when I say true story I mean something that might have happened universe provided the multiverse theory, which posits the existence of an infinite number of universes in which every possibility exists, is true. “Hes So Fine was actually written by Ronald Mack, an acquaintance of the Chiffons members who set himself up as their manager after overhearing them sing in their high schools lunch room…Woah, woah, woah...Never mind parallel universes, did the world I was born in really allow would-be svengalis to hang around girls’ schools picking-up teenage talent. In may have been our past, but it was obviously a very different world to the one we live in now. I just hope that music scouts were the only middle-aged men the schools’ allowed to run the ruler over the girls in the lunch room. At least Ronald Mack doesn’t seem to have worked the girls too hard. Either that or he’s paying them by the hour. “He’s so Fine” clocks in at only 1 min 50 sec long. That said, much though I love these songs, their simplicity – which is not a criticism - tended to mean that at much over two minutes they had already overstayed their welcome. You’ll be pleased to know that I am in the process of composing a post on the basis in quantum mechanics for multiverse theory.
