You need to know what a mosque really is and what real muslims really believe. Did you watch at least the Sam Solomon video below (What are mosques and why are they a threat). I bet you think You cant judge all muslims on the basis of what some do. I bet you think thats what were doing. Its not what we are doing. At least not all of us. To impute racism/xonophobia to all of us just because those things are what is driving some of us, is to commit the very fallacy you probably think we are committing, namely sliding from some to all. Some of us, me included, justify our opposition to the presence of an islamic community in the Marulan area (or anywhere in Australia for that matter) by means of the following argument: All muslims adhere to the religious ideology called Islam. While there are divisions within Islam, they all share a common core and that core includes jihad in all its forms (verbal, financial, military) and lying to the infidel to help spread or defend islam. Consequently, you can expect to see lots of both those things wherever there are lots of muslims. We dont want either of those things. Notice that I did not say all muslims will do those things. Not all who claim to be muslim will do it -- if for no other reason than that not all who claim to be muslims really are muslims. Some self-identify as Muslim simply because they are afraid not to. But what a person is saying by identifying as muslim is that they believe in the quran and the example of Mohammed AS NORMATIVE. And if that is true, then they believe (implicitly at least) in jihad and lying to the infidel to help and protect islam. Now there is a presumption that if someone says they believe something, then they do. We are entitled to treat all who self-identify as Muslim as if they truly are Muslim. Consequently we are entitled to treat all of them as believers in jihad and in lying to the infidel. A mosque is more than a place for religious ceremonies. As the current prime minister of Turkey once said (when reciting a poem): The mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets, the minarets our bayonets and the faithful our soldiers.... Islam is more than a religion. It is a mafia-like conspiracy claiming to have Gods blessing and mandate. It is an ideology more hateful than Nazism. And every professing muslim professes, truthfully or otherwise. to be part of it. Yes the muslims now in Australia are (in the main) peaceful and law abiding. So are soldiers in barracks.
