This temporary ban is a huge win. Congratulations to all of the talented, well-spoken, hardworking and driven people who have worked so hard to empower communities through Nova Scotia to educate themselves and be part of the discussion. You are all leaders of the safer, healthier, and prosperous future that we are creating for society. I am crying tears of joy for you all! Theres more work to be done so that in statements like these Mr Younger will acknowledge the leadership of our energy efficiency, wind, and energy storage sectors. Also, were gonna make this a permanent ban. But dang, amazing. Nova Scotians have indicated that they are concerned about hydraulic fracturing and they do not want it to be part of onshore petroleum development in Nova Scotia at this time. Nova Scotians have put their trust in our government that we will listen to those concerns and not allow a process that most Nova Scotians are clearly not yet comfortable with. As a result, our government will introduce legislation this fall to prohibit the use of hydraulic fracturing in shale oil and gas projects. thechronicleherald.ca/opinion/1233809-andrew-younger-statement-on-nova-scotia-hydraulic-fracturing-ban
