This time 18 years ago I was on holiday in Tenerife when I received a phone call to tell me my Mum & family had been called to hospital as my Dad had taken a turn for the worse. I sat waiting for the next call hoping and praying that Dad would be ok but alas at 00.20am on the 11th January 1997 we lost our rock, the cement that held our family together. It broke my heart as Id been with Dad every day during his treatment but couldnt be with him at the end and miss him dearly. Ive never been back to Tenerife as the memory still hurts but hopefully one day I will go back. This song came on the radio during the long night and has always been special to me at this time. If your Dad is still alive never forget to give him a hug or a regular phone call as you dont half miss them when they have gone. Love You Forever And A Day Dad.
