This time I was given the number 8 and 11. So here goes one last time. 11 things you may not know about me. If you like my status I will give you a number. 1. I am afraid of heights. 2. My first attempt to fly a plane I was 44 (Cessna). It found it is difficult to land a plane when you are far sighted. Who knew depth perception is an issue when you are far sighted? Remember: take off is optional, landing is required. 3. I have had eye surgery and implants to correct my vision. I wore glasses from the age of 3 to 55. Thank you Dr Black. 4. I completed my economics degree at 50…most economic degrees are held by men. 5. I’ve been back stage of the Grand Ole opry. Thank you Rebecca Lynn Howard 6. I met the Prime Minister and our ambassador to Niger one month before our Ambassador in Benghazi was murdered. It makes the tragedy even more acute for me. Thank you Zac and Magguy Tossou 7. I met Glenn Beck, Oliver North, and all the 2012 Republican presidential candidates at the NRA convention in Saint Louis ( thank you Col Jankoski ) 8. I hosted a party for a production crew and famous director from Hollywood wanting to make an urban movie called The Stand…The production group took our money and fled…..The movie would be an awesome story and Success only lives in risk. 9. I have hiked the maroon bells, Snowmass Mountain loop in 5 days when I was 50 years old. Look it up. Less than 1000 people a year do this complete loop. 10. I love to snow ski. My first time skiing I was 45. At Parson’s bowl, I could not move after getting off the lift. The magnitude of the space, the top of the mountain was overwhelming. I am glad I do not allow my fears to stop me from experiencing God’s most beautiful journeys 11. God has blessed me beyond anything that I could imagine. All the impossibles are possible. Never give up, never give in to your fears. Thats me and thats all folks!
