This time of the year/month, the Irishman would be preparing for the coming semester. He would usually start cranking his syllabus for his anthropology classes about now and around midnight with a glass of red. He always looked forward to the new semester and new souls who dared to enter his classes. I was always curious about his choice of readings for his cultural anthropology class. He used to give me an early preview of his selected readings and very often I read them. We would eventually have lengthy discussions about the themes and messages offered. Our talks would deepen after a shot or two of Casadores. The best part was when he identified solutions for some of the challenges facing our universe.
