This time of year brings up so many memories for me. The holidays have changed so much over the years The traditions are slowly disappearing. It seems like people had more time for each other. It makes me miss the people who have passed. I too have been a part of letting traditions die. I wish my kids could have been around to see us drive out to the country, pick out a tree, cut it down, load on roof, and decorate it together. Get together as a family ( Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles, Cousins, Parents, and Siblings) listen to Christmas music, play cards and board games, and eat for days. Sledding on the streets, snowball fights, neighbors going door to door singing Christmas songs. I look at my friends like Michael Thacker and John McCallister and wonder how much it has changed for them, and if they too feel a void. I know like me, that they are blessed with kids and Grandkids to replace relatives lost. But wouldnt it be nice for just one Christmas to have everyone together for one old time traditional Christmas. I wish everyone a Merry Christmas filled with joy and love.
