This tip is a special warning for the holidays. As animal owners - TopicsExpress

This tip is a special warning for the holidays. As animal owners we like to treat our animals as we treat our family so we feed them special treats, for cats the best thing you could do is give them a can of tuna. Please do NOT give them turkey, or any other foods that we have at this time of year. Animals digestive systems are way different from ours. Their precious bodies can not process our seasonings, garlic and other spices stay in their system, and can cause serious illness and even result sometimes in death. Bones are not good for them, pork chop bones tend to splinter off like chicken bones, steak bones are okay, if they dont have sharp points for them to puncture their mouths on as well as injuring their internal organs. Pet stores sell nice little gifts for your animals that are most likely the safest bet, but, you have to be mindful of any warnings from the FDA. You can visit the FDA website to see what foods and they do include animal foods that have been recalled. By doing this you are insuring yourself and your family members that you are serving the best food possible with no warnings. The FDA puts these warnings out on a daily basis, unless God forbid, the government were to shut down again. That being said, I wish you all a very safe and Happy Thanksgiving, and Holiday season!
