This truth is bitter. If Niger Delta sneezes, the whole of Nigeria catches cold. The region supplies over 90 percent of Nigerias national wealth. Apart from a few investments made from the proceeds from the informal sector, everything in Nigeria has its root to the crude oil God in His infinite mercy gave to the people of Niger Delta. You may still find it difficult to understand that those billions squandered in the State and Local Government levels originally belong to the Niger Delta region. Those bridges, roads, hospitals in your places of origin were built with money tapped in the neglected region. The federal allocations diverted by your rulers in the state were taken from Niger Delta. The region has been supplying this even before independence. For that reason, any spirit that reveals that the Niger Delta does not deserve a second term for the first time in our national history is an evil spirit. It is our collective responsibility to bind such spirit first before we cast it into political abyss.
