This type of thing disturbs me. I am all for new treatments that prolong life, things such as pacemakers and even heart transplants are great.. However when we start replacing body parts with machines it has me worried. There seems to be this quest to live forever, what would be enough? If we all lived 150 years would we then wish for 200? I think its disturbing that some even suggest growing organs, we are humans and we made to live a certain period of time. We want to play God and remake the physical parts that make us human? I do not want to live forever, and I certainly dont want to walk around with no pulse, because I have a robotic heart. The exception would be for young patients obviously such as children, but I believe this would be used more by the wealthy older generation.
