This video is something else. The child is given a first gift which is a cutting board. He is grateful and begins to thank his parents for it. Next, his parents give him another gift, which is the real gift, and it is what he wanted, a tablet. He is shocked and bursts into tears of joy and gratefulness for his gift. This video convicts me. How many times have we asked God for something and when He gives us something else, we become angry that its not what weve asked for? If I asked God for a tablet and received a cutting board, I should take that cutting board with joy because I deserve nothing. I should seek ways to use that cutting board for His glory for two reasons, 1) the God who knows all and knows whats best for me felt I need to have one, and 2) I know that the Lord is making sure my heart is right and that I love the Giver more than the gift whether or not He chooses to give me that tablet. Lets all learn from this child. Be grateful for what you do have and even what you receive while waiting on answer for something else. Sometimes God is testing your heart to see if youre able to handle receiving what you asked for without forsaking who you asked.
