In all, the world has so many languages and some persons have argued that this, in itself, is problematic. It is widely opined that the principal reason for language in human interaction is to communicate. So, for this reason, it doesnt matter if an African or Asian understands and speaks only English. This is clearly an advocacy for Monolingualism, which is the knowledge and use of only one language. Question: How might Monolingualism hinder or promote our collective global existence?
